On December 5th, 2016, Superhot Team released SUPERHOT VR, a virtual reality version of the game (VR trailer shown below).

Following the positive reception of the prototype and the project being approved on the Steam Greenlight, in May 2014 the development team launched a Kickstarter campaign for SUPERHOT, gathering over $250,000 to develop the game. In August 2013, a team of developers led by Piotr Iwanicki developed SUPERHOT prototype for the 2013 7 Day FPS Challenge.
